Paper-Trader is a fully functioning Stock Market Simulator that behaves just like the real market.  You have real Stock Prices for Real Stocks, you select and Place Trades just like in the real world and money flows in and out of your Paper-Trader Bank Account just like in the real world.

It's as if you were trading for real, except that you're not using real money. Learn and practice simple trades, right through to complex trade series including Stocks, Options and CFDs.

Even use Paper-Trader to backtest your trading strategies, or test new strategies you discover, to see how good they really are BEFORE risking your real money.

Do all your Technical Analysis using the Charting Module. Simply highlight stocks of interest, then view charts using OHLC or Candlesticks, add Trendlines, Support/Resistance, Volume, Indicators (averages, RSI, MACD etc).

Switch between daily, weekly and monthly charts.   Download data from Yahoo Finance (free) or from a paid subscription service. Any CSV data service is normally OK.

Manage your Stocks and Options in multiple watchlists. No limit to how many you can have. Arrange your stocks by sector, by country or however you choose.

View 52 week high & low, volume, put & call options, option theoretical prices, delta, expiry & strike etc. Download data to update your watchlists with the click of a button.

Manage the Paper-Trader Exchange Modules. Includes NYSE, AMEX, NASDAQ and ASX exchanges.

Change brokerage, clearing house fees, option value calculations for each exchange. Set the Research link URLs that allow fundamental research including Company Profile, Financial Summary, Headline News etc.

Change the data download URL for each exchange.  Use the standard free Yahoo Finance service or a custom data service.

When you've selected you stocks of interest, open the Broker Window to select your trades. You can trade individual positions (Stocks, Options & CFDs) or pre-programmed strategies.

Comes standard with Covered Call, Bull & Bear Credit Spreads, Naked Puts. Add you own strategies with the Strategy Builder. Each strategy can have up to 4 option positions and 2 stock/cfd positions ie a total of 6 positions.

View the payoff diagram for individual positions and for the complete strategy. The financial analysis of your trade is done automatically including Income, ROI, Breakeven analysis. Executing your trade sends it to the appropriate stock exchange module; just like in the real world.

Once you've executed your trade using the Broker Window, you can step forward in daily or weekly increments by clicking a single button.  This instantly recalculates everything about your trade and you can view this in the Trade Progress Window.

See stock and option values change, monitor the profit/loss of your trade and make decisions about your trade just like in the real world. Close individual legs of your trade or close the whole trade, roll the trade or let it run.

The Exchange Modules automatically pay dividends, exercise and expire options and provides notifications to help you along the way. It gives a countdown to option expiry, dynamically shows breakeven points, option time and intrinsic values etc.

Note: Time Travel is only available when trading in Historical Mode. Time Travel is not available in Live Mode because in Live Mode you are trading with today's prices. In Live Mode, Paper-Trader automatically advances it's date when new data is downloaded.

View your trades in your Paper-Trader Bank. This lists all the trades in your trade series. Here you'll see your opening and closing positions, dividends, option exercise and expiry transactions etc.

Switch brokerage on and off to see the effect of brokerage on your trades. Save your trades for later review. Enter your real trades to store and analyse them, either immediately or later.

Scan your entire watchlist for trades that meet your criteria. Simply, select the watchlist, then select the strategy you want to use for the scan, choose the ROI and Breakeven criteria and let Paper-Trader do the rest.

Returns all the stocks that meet your criteria for the strategy you've selected. Add strategies to the Scan Module using the Strategy Builder.

Manage your stocks using the Watchlist Manager. Let's you select the exchange and the stocks to add or remove from your watchlists.
